Client Assessment Services offered by IOHS...

Functional Back Evaluations

This assessment establishes a baseline of back functioning. We use it to ensure employees meet the basic physical requirements of their jobs. Also, should injury occur, this baseline helps us set rehabilitation goals.

Additional features:

  • A 2–3 hour assessment with a specific focus on back capacity.
  • Can be performed in conjunction with a job site analysis if specific job demands need to be quantified before clinic-based simulations are developed.
  • Includes a report summarizing client’s abilities and limitations.
  • Includes suggestions regarding injury prevention and conditioning needs identified during testing.

Additional features:

  • Testing is compliant with human rights legislation.
  • We implement valid and reliable protocols based upon sound scientific principles.
  • Includes injury prevention training and recommendations to reduce future injury risk.
  • If required, we design conditioning/strengthening programs to ensure clients maintain their level of functioning for safe work performance /re-evaluation in the future.
